I bent the bracket according to your instructions. I didn't add the hole for the 950 because I will only be using the 990 for panos (And I soon found out that I would need a 2" piece instead). I took two nuts (an additional $ .30) and tightened them down as a lock nut, against the bracket. I then filed the threads away, this gave the same effect as a tripod screw. I then used the same nuts all the way down so that I could cut off the top of the knob so that it will tighten down without hurting the camera, but still be tight to the bracket. The whole thing took about 1 hour or so. The only other modification I need to make is to add a level of some sort...
